About Us

We are Ratanpur. A small, family-run tea brand with our roots deep in Assam, and our hearts in making tea that feels as good to drink as it should to serve.

I'm Bee. Everything we sell comes from my family's own tea garden in Assam. Not a supplier in between, not a middleman. Just leaves, grown with care, picked by hand, and sent to you as fresh as we can get it. Jack and I met while I was studying at York, and over many cups of tea and conversations about different cultures but how tea is such an important part of life in almost every one of them, we realised we shared the same vision. So we started this together.

But let's be honest, good tea starts with good people. That's why we pay every single worker on our garden a fair living wage. Not just "legal minimum" but fair. We also actively work towards giving them medical and educational support. Because the person who plucks your tea deserves the same respect as the person who brews it.

We also try to look after the land that looks after us. Our growing practices avoid harsh chemicals wherever possible, and we're constantly learning how to be kinder to the soil, water, and wildlife around us. It's not about being perfect it's about doing a bit better each season.

Every order you get is packed by hand, not by a machine. We check it, wrap it carefully, and pop in a little note. It's just our way of saying thanks for choosing us.

Our packaging? That's inspired by the Assamese Gamusa - a traditional cloth that symbolises warmth, welcome, and respect. It's our small nod to where we come from, and an invitation for you to slow down, make a cuppa, and enjoy a quiet moment.

So whether you're having a rough day, a good one, or just need five minutes of peace- we're genuinely grateful you're spending it with us.

From our garden in Assam to your kitchen table.

Warmly,

Bee & Jack
