Assam Black Tea

A strong full-bodied black tea, grown in our own tea garden right in the heart of Assam.

Known for its rich, malty flavour and deep amber colour, our Assam black tea is ideal for enjoying alongside a healthy breakfast (and at any other time of day you fancy, I find it makes the perfect as a post dinner cuppa). 

Tea rituals can be complicated, with most people you see doing waaaaaaay too much, but to get the maximum out of this tea you should keep it as simple as possible: 

1. Pour out how much tea you want into a strainer or infuser (follow this link for the best one we could find)
   1. 1 Hint: more tea leaves = a stronger brew, less tea = a weaker brew
2. Almost boil the kettle or whatever water heating device you choose (around 90 degrees C we have found is perfect)
3. Add tea and water to a cup
4. Leave for 3-4 minutes (depending on how strong you want it)
5. Enjoy (I drink it like it comes because its nice, Bee drinks with honey and a slice of lemon because she's extra)

This isn't your teabag dust you might be expecting. This tea is made with the CTC method (Crush, Tear, Curl) which gives you whole tea leaves, but they are curled and crushed into a small ball after they are dried. This minimises your brewing time while still giving you the flavour of best quality tea leaves possible.
